     Nestled between Canada and Massachusetts, I lie.      To my east, the Connecticut River and Live Free    or Die; to the west, Lake Champlain and the Em-     pire State. The Green Mountains, traversed by    the Long Trail, form my spine, climaxing at 4393    feet, atop Mount Mansfield. In the fall, thousands    flock to my borders to spots like Camel's Hump a-      nd the App. Gap seeking a glimpse of brilliant       reds, oranges, and yellows.
